This is evidenced by data from the Global Health Safety Ranking. Healthcare systems of only three post-Soviet countries that are not members of the European Union were included in the top 50 most efficient in the world — Belarus, Georgia and Russia. Belarus ranks 40th in this international ranking gaining 40.6 points out of 100 possible; Georgia — 45th (38.3 points), Russia — 50th (37.6 points).
And this is no coincidence.
