Forum for Regional Cooperation and Development under the Belt & Road Initiative

On July 1-3, 2019, the Forum for Regional Cooperation and Development will be held as part of the Belt & Road initiative, the main topic of which is «Great Stone Industrial Park — Global Opportunities».

Great Stone Industrial Park is one of the most significant and major international projects, the “pearl" of the One Belt, One Road initiative the Republic of Belarus takes an active part in.

The large-scale event will bring together about 500 participants from countries of the European and Asian regions — representatives of governments, heads of business associations, investment funds, banks and large companies.

The program of the forum plans to hold «Participation of states in the Belt & Road initiative: successes and prospects» plenary session. The panel sections will be devoted to a wide range of topics:

Section I — Development of transport and logistics of Belt & Road
Section II — The participation of financial institutions in supporting innovative projects of the industrial park
Section III — Development of the Great Stone Industrial Park as a modern and smart eco-city
Section IV — Innovation and industrial clustering (cooperation) are the foundation for the development of the economy of the future in the industrial park

Discussions on the implementation of the proposed initiatives and projects will be held within each section.

An exhibition will be held from June 30 to July 2 within the framework of the forum. Belarusian and foreign enterprises will present their high-tech products, as well as existing and potential residents of the Great Stone industrial park will demonstrate product samples. One of the side events of the forum will also be an exhibition and sale of works by young Belarusian artists.
